<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The surgical treatment outcome in patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy directly depends on the epileptic focus localization accuracy. Conventional diagnostic    algorithms for patients with epilepsy involve starting with video EEG monitoring and magnetic resonance imaging. It is not possible to localize epileptogenic foci with    the use of these techniques in a large segment of patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy, or the test results are discordant. The review provides the analysis of    literature data on the current possibilities of SPECT, PET and new hybrid PET-MRI technique when used for preoperative planning in patients with refractory epilepsy.   </p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>эпилепсия</kwd><kwd>МРТ</kwd><kwd>ОФЭКТ</kwd><kwd>ПЭТ</kwd><kwd>ПЭТ-МРТ</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>epilepsy</kwd><kwd>MRI</kwd><kwd>SPECT</kwd><kwd>PET</kwd><kwd>PET-MRI</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">работа выполнена в рамках НИР «Разработка показаний для применения гибридного метода ПЭТ-МРТ при планировании хирургического лечения у пациентов с эпилепсией», шифр: 03.02.VY.</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Sander JW.
